UFPB's Rector goes to Cameroon towards new partnerships
Prof. Valdiney Gouveia, UFPB's Rector, traveled to the Republic of Cameroon along with the Secretary of Higher Education of the Brazilian Ministry of Education, Wagner Vilas Boas de Souza, and representatives of the Federal University of Pará for a series of events. The agenda aimed to approach UFPB to Cameroonian universities and prospect educational projects between Brazil and African countries.
From April 18 to 21, Prof. Gouveia attended to several meetings. After being received by the mayor of Soa town, he was granted with the honorary citizen award (18). Later, he met the Yaoundé II University's rector to sign a bilateral agreement and extended the journey to sign agreements at the Dschang University and Yaoundé I University.
Over the week, Prof. Gouveia participated of a hearing with the Cameroon's Prime Minister, Joseph Ngute, a working session at the Institute of International Relations of Cameroon (IRIC), as well as a meeting of the Diplomatic Forum.
